It’s All About the Rolls…

Again, it is Wednesday. This is the second week in a row that I am doing ‘Tasty Tuesday’ on Wednesday. Ironically, maybe we should rename this ‘Whipped Up Wednesday’ because let’s be honest… the majority of the meals that we eat in the White household are ‘whipped up’ on a whim. Let’s see what next week plays out to be… Wednesday may just be my day!

One of my favorite things that my Daddy would fix us when we were growing up was Cinnamon Rolls. The most perfect times that he would fix them would be on cold nights! You just can’t say no to the Pillsbury dough boy on the round can. Hopefully our cold winter nights are behind us, but there is always a right time to bake some cinnamon rolls. But, what happens when you don’t have the Pillsbury dough boy in your refrigerator? Well, all you need is a can of crescent rolls, cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and a little flour!


1 8oz. can of crescent rolls
2 tbs. melted butter
Brown Sugar and Ground Cinnamon to taste

1) Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray a muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray.
2) Roll out the package of Crescent rolls, onto a lightly floured surface and gently pinch together the seams.  Brush with melted butter, and then sprinkle generously with brown sugar and cinnamon.  Spread evenly with your hand.
3) Roll the dough and cut into 8 slices. Brush each slice with the remaining melted butter.
4) Place the rolls in the muffin pan and bake for 10 minutes.  I won’t blame you if you eat them right out of the pan! It was intended for them to last to the next morning for breakfast, but they did not make it…those late night feedings got to us!


Yesterday, the girls celebrated four months! We had a fun photo shoot in which Leah was wide awake for, and Amelia decided to sleep right through. None the less they looked absolutely adorable.


















I have a confession to make… for the past two days I have met a new friend that has taken me by storm. Olivia Pope…. I am officially addicted to Scandal. Oh my goodness! What a show.

Well, I have two babies that are hungry, a husband that isn’t feeling well, laundry, a dirty kitchen, and Scandal to catch up on…maybe I will enjoy some cinnamon rolls all the while in amazement at Olivia Pope’s wardrobe.

She seriously has the best coats/ jackets/ business attire…ever.

It’s all about the rolls today… cinnamon rolls and baby rolls. What a milestone for two 29-week preemies!
